Hi everyone!!
I had the most wonderful time a few weekends ago having a long conversation with my dear friend Anna. My very talented fiancé, Andres Gallo, recorded it.
I had gifted Anna a book called “Tiny Beautiful Things”, a compilation of advice columns by the amazing Cheryl Strayed. She, like me, was blown away by the book.
We raved about how beautiful the book is, we attempted to deconstruct it and pin down some of the strategies that Cheryl Strayed has used to respond to people in distress, we touched upon empathy, we talked about being psychiatrists and what giving advice means. We had a whale of a time!!!!!
I am posting the first installment of that conversation. I will also be posting my thoughts about the book, and advice giving, in a subsequent post.
I hope you enjoy this!!
On another, similar but different note( my friends would attest to my propensity for sharing “similar but different” things) :
How technology changes the way we look at the world! Whenever I meet a friend for dinner now, I find myself thinking at the end of the conversation, “That would have made such a wonderful podcast!”
Thanks for watching, folks!!!
